Power and Vision
The House of Truth Inc. was established in Shelbyville KY. It is a nonprofit organization that helps children and teens excel at their education and a variety of activities and sports in spite of their disabilities and economic status. This organization teaches art, history, gardening, sewing, technology, wellness, fitness, nutrition and business. Basketball is also taught and guided through the department of RJK Sports Management and Sport Agency. Children from kindergarten to high school are welcome to attend. We readily support families with disabilities including but not limited to autism, hearing impaired, Asperger's, ADHD, ADD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, dyslexia and Down syndrome. At risk and unhoused families are also supported. A focus is placed on helping each and every person be successful in their community and life as a whole.
Mary Jones
President
Mary Jones is the president of The House of Truth Inc. She was born and raised in East Chicago, Indiana where she later moved to Louisville KY. In 2002, Mary taught art and technology at The Lighthouse Community Center in Louisville KY for four years. After returning from Vanderbilt University, she continued to volunteer with disadvantaged youth at the center and continued her education at The University of Louisville. She broadened her scope of expertise to youth and adults with learning disabilities. Mary has five children with varying disabilities of Autism and ADHD. She was the Artistic Director for mutliple 501C3 non-profit organizations on Homeless Veteran Women and Children Initiatives. Mary has decided to share her knowledge and experience to assist others at The House of Truth Inc.
Renarda "RJ" Jones
Founder & Treasurer
Renarda Jones is the founder and treasurer of The House of Truth. He was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Renarda played eight years of semi-pro basketball. He was an assistant coach to hearing-impaired youth for twenty years. He work with children and adults with autism, ADHD and other disabilities. He mentored troubled and disadvantaged youth. He assists the homeless as an outreach specialist and for the Homeless Veterans Women and Children Initiative with PDI Faith Based Initiative. He continues to work as a coach with youth basketball. He is the founder and CEO of RJK Sports Management and Sports Agency LLC.
